Generally, vegetation management is a term in the practice of taming or removing unwanted plant material such as trees, branches, bushes, weeds, and vines often to prevent disruption of power and other utilities.
At Arborico, we are highly skilled at vegetation management that supports environmental stewardship by controlling invasive species to protect and expand native habitats. Invasive plants (especially non-native woody species like Honeysuckle, Buckthorn and Autumn Olive) in our Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois region can overrun our open lands, woodlands and fence lines. This causes quality native species to diminish and inhibits the health of native woodlands and prairies and it disrupts the original natural balance of indigenous plants once prominent in our lands. Once these invasive species are pushed back mechanically, it's easier to maintain with mechanical or chemical means. The result is more enjoyable, productive property rather than an impassible Midwest jungle.
With forestry mowing and mulching, this can be done quickly and with minimal disruption to the surrounding landscape since the brush created does not need to be hauled away or burned on site.
